This release is a big one. Whether you’re just getting started in the Hive or already running flows with your retail customers, you’ll find things faster, clearer, and easier to use across the board.
Every business structures and stores product data in their own way. The Hive uses Templates to bridge the gap. Drag and drop an existing spreadsheet and the Hive builds a draft Template from it automatically, mapping your fields to your customers' so sharing product data is fast and accurate from the start.
From the My Suppliers page, you can now send a supplier an invitation to join the Hive directly. When they accept, they’re automatically set up with your product Templates and connected to your account. No back-and-forth setup, no manual configuration. They’re ready to share products with you from day one.
You can now attach images and documents directly to any product in your catalogue. Drag and drop files into the new Images or Documents tab on the Product page or browse to upload them. The first image you attach will also appear as a product icon in your product list, making it easier to find what you’re looking for at a glance. Once loaded, you can also share these loaded images and documents!
To realise the full potential of the Hive or, as we like to say, get your honey flowing, you can now use our easy-to-follow Flows. Flows are the steps that help activate how you want your data to move in and from the Hive. Flows also have a history - so you check on a flow that’s run historically. You can also see each step of a flow as it executes, along with its status.
Setting up a product Flow used to mean navigating through settings and configuration screens. Now, from the Products page, you can kick off an import, export, or share flow with a single click. Each option walks you through a step-by-step wizard so you’re up and running quickly. Find it on the Products page in your Hive.
On the Products page, you can now filter your product list using the filter button in the command bar. Build filtering rules using one or more conditions, apply them, and clear them when you’re done. Useful when you’re working with a large catalogue and need to find a specific subset quickly.
A full audit history is now available for every product. Navigate to the Product page and click the History button to see a log of every change made, by whom, and when. Helpful for tracking down when a field was updated or catching any unexpected changes.
The way the Hive handles Excel files has recently been rebuilt with new Hive local processing. The result is a meaningfully faster experience when you’re uploading a product spreadsheet or downloading an export. No change to how you use it. It just gets your data buzzing faster!
When you sign up for the Hive, you can now start a 30-day free trial without needing to go through payment processing. Select the trial option on the sign-up page and you're in. No credit card required to get started.
The sign-up page previously asked for a GLN (Global Location Number), which is not relevant for most businesses. It now asks for your ABN or ACN instead.
